 水月禅寺简介

     

睢地广袤，山雄水秀，人杰地灵！自古佛教历史文化积淀深厚。中国.睢宁水月禅寺（始称浮屠寺）则位于睢宁西郊碧波荡漾的水月湖畔，寺院占地300余亩，现为国家AAAA级景区。该寺始建于东汉末年，几经战火，历尽劫难，代有兴衰。禅寺于2011年4月重建，因其独具匠心的卓越设计，将佛教元素与现代建筑艺术完美融合，堪称国内首个现代寺庙群。2015年11月，在新加坡举行的世界建筑节(World Architecture Festival)被评为全球九大最美宗教建筑之一。                                                                                                                                           

法不孤起，仗缘方生！据《后汉书》载：“初平四年（公元193年），笮融在下邳（今睢宁县）大起浮屠寺，上累金盘，下为重楼，又堂阁周回，可容三千许人。作黄金涂像，衣以锦彩。每浴佛，辄多设饮饭，布席于路，其有就食及观者，且万余人”。至唐贞观年间“浮屠寺”更名为"释迦院"，宋金时代，九镜塔毁于战火。明代成化年间，宪宗皇帝闻下邳"释迦院"菩萨灵验，为求子嗣，敕令下邳人徐瑛修建古寺，并由当朝宰相商格立开山碑文，翰林学士赵辅书丹。自此，禅寺声名远播，成为苏北首刹。清光绪18年（1898年）知州陶崇文领修禅寺，此是历史上最后一次修缮。近代因种种因缘禅寺毁坏。

上海同济大学提供资料考证：笮融所建之塔，是中国历史上有文字记载和形象描述的“天下第一塔”。佛寺布局形式基本上延续至唐初，所塑金身之佛像也是我国文献上有关佛像铸造的最早记载。并且笮融在境内接受佛教之人，免除佛教信徒的徭役赋税，也成为以后历代官方支持佛教的举措之一。在黄忏华所著的《中国佛教史》中，视之为“此佛教流布于民间也”。可见，睢宁是佛教在中国从“官方”走向“民间”的肇始之地，也是佛教标志性建筑“浮屠”在中国的首建之地。           

斗转星移，成住坏空。复建承载着悠久历史的浮屠寺一直是睢宁佛教四众弟子的夙愿。经过申请，通过省、市民宗部门批准，2011年4月浮屠寺得以在白塘河湿地水月湖畔复建。禅寺由北京大学教授、博士生导师、美国哈佛大学设计学博士俞孔坚院长任首席设计师，禅寺建设突破了传统规制，一改中国寺院建筑风格，在遵循佛教殿堂布局制式的前提下，采用现代建筑元素，与佛教的启迪心智、荡污涤垢、祈福纳祥巧妙结合，诠释了大道至简的人文理念。禅寺建设以“得风润水，古典布局；简约建筑，禅意空间”的规划理念为核心，建筑格调独具匠心，颠覆了人们对于佛教建筑固定的思维模式，设计将佛教元素与建筑艺术达到了完美结合，表现手法较为独特，功能和布局更为合理，实现了佛教元素与现代建筑艺术的完美结合，创造出国内独具匠心的佛教活动场所。因寺院周边临水，又因佛学所称因、果、圆、缺的信仰似月亮，且寺庙突出是水月观音文化，故寺院命名为“水月禅寺”。2011年4月水月禅寺奠基重建，2013年10竣工。2013年11月又在禅寺前增建了占地面积约8000平方米的水月广场，于2014年3月竣工，广场中间请入一尊水月观音，高9.8米，观音矗立更加增强了广场的灵性和气势，更利于佛法的弘扬，2014年4月25日（农历三月廿六日）上午9时隆重举行寺院落成暨全堂佛像开光盛典，诸山大德、社会各届人士近万人参加，惠风和畅，同沾法喜。
